What you need
- A Mac with Apple Silicon
- Claude Code installed and logged in: Paw runs your own Claude, it doesn't replace it
- For the phone or a server: Tailscale on the devices, free for personal use
Questions
Why private?
It's one person's tool that got big. I'd rather a few people use it hard and tell me what breaks than have a lot of people find out on their own.
Does it cost anything?
Nothing to ask. Your Claude usage is your own, and Paw shows it as rings so you see the limits coming.
Is my data sent anywhere?
Your chats live on your machine or your server. Paw has no accounts and no analytics. The agents talk to Claude, like Claude Code always does.
Windows or Linux?
The engine builds for Linux (that's how the server runs) and it compiles for Windows, but the app is a Mac app for now.
